Single Moms Sewing Project totes! Made of recycled denim and other fun fabrics, each has its own unique design. They are as unique, strong and loved as our mamas.

Funded by the Altamont Education Advisory Board - The Single Moms Sewing Project component launched in 2023 as a part of the larger uu transitional employment program and focuses on sustainable fashion awareness, sewing skills delivered by Meaza Haile, 8AM Fashion & Tailor,  a local woman owned alteration and fashion upcycle company based in Oakland, and the production of upcycled textile home and clothing products by program participants.
