Southern Italian Wine Tasting - Party for 10 at your house!
Did you know southern Italy has the highest concentration of volcanic wine regions in the world?! With over 400 documented grape varieties (and counting), Italy is one of the most interesting wine regions of them all. In this private in person wine tasting for up to 10 people, you will get a chance to explore 5 different varieties from 5 different wine regions of this cosmopolitan country with sommelier and owner of Cittavino & Co., Emilia Aiello.
Tasting Includes:
Guided 1.5 hour tasting of 5 wines with a professional sommelier*
Cheese pairing with an exclusive imported cheese from the province of Enna, Sicily & taralli crackers from Puglia (plus some extra snack goodies!)

*Winner of the auction item will need to provide the event space within the Bay Area and will schedule the event date based on availability. All arrangements are made through Emilia
Emilia Aiello is an Oakland, CA native, born to an immigrant Italian family. Unknowingly, she began her wine career in her cousin’s restaurant in their hometown of Oakland, California. In 2012 she moved to New York City and in 2016 she accepted a Wine Director position at Lupa Osteria Romana in Greenwich Village.
Emilia is constantly in awe and in search of the intersectionality of cultures. She is so excited to share the cosmopolitan history of southern Italy with you! In addition to being a Vinitaly International Italian Wine Ambassador Emilia is a WSET Diploma Candidate.
