Join local bird nerd Dan Leonard on a birding "safari." A member of the Hudson-Mohawk Bird Club, Dan has participated in its May Century Run (identifying more than 100 bird species in a day) for the past several years. Dan's been a passionate "bird nerd" since 1977 and has been actively birding on six continents. He'll bring this experience, ideas for local bird "hotspots" and optics to share.
An ideal offering for early risers, Dan welcomes a group of up to 6. He is glad to drive to the contingent or participate in a caravan. The group can expect to be out in the field for 4-6 hours, birds willing. Expiration date: 10/1/2023. There are a couple prime time seasons when your supporters will have the most birdful time with me:
Late October/Early November (mostly for Fall Migrating waterfowl).
Early May (for Spring Migrants).
