Original cross stitch by Richard Robelotto Lot #55
The beautiful feather detail of this cross-stitched artwork by Richard "Dick" Robelotto is a sight to behold. Professionally mounted and framed, this piece measures 22"x20.5".
About the artist:
Richard (Dick) Robelotto has been stitching for nearly 45 years. In order to develop a relaxing hobby, he began self-taught embroidery pieces. Soon after he tried cross-stitching, crewel and counted cross stitching. His wife Carol Bissonette was a needle pointer for many years and together they made some pieces as well. After Carol died, needlepoint canvases helped Dick deal with the loss and provided him hours of relaxation. He expanded his needle skills to include counted needlepoint, geometric pieces with a variety of challenging stitches, painted canvases and original pieces as well. He still stitches even though there are fewer and fewer sources of canvases, fibers and challenging patterns. Richard is a retired American History teacher.
