Vintage glass carboys Lot #84
Two 2.5 gallon Pyrex glass carboys in mint condition donated by Marilyn and Norm Fancher. The carboys measure 20" tall, 7.5" in diameter, and feature raised lettering that reads "Pyrex - Made in U.S.A." The average retail value of a carboy in this condition is upwards of $1,000!
A glass carboy is a large, heavy-duty vessel with a narrow opening and a tapered top, primarily used in home brewing and fermenting beverages like wine and mead. Unlike plastic carboys, glass carboys are non-porous, odor-resistant, and do not scratch or degrade over time, making them ideal for preventing oxygen exposure and maintaining the quality and flavor of the liquid inside. *This listing does not include stoppers or caps for the carboys*
