Bruce Handford Biography:

Entertaining the viewer with strong light and shadow, Bruce's loose painterly style captures the essence of the subject while focusing on the feeling and mood of the moment. He often works en plein air to more accurately capture the quality of light and color of the subject.

Although mostly self-taught, Bruce has studied with many internationally renowned artists. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and Watercolor West.

Bruce is an elected member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. His award-winner artwork has been shown in international, national, and regional exhibitions, and many of this paintings are included in corporate and private collections across the country.
