Mary Ann returned to her childhood interest in art upon her retirement from the NY Commission for the Blind. Growing up on the edge of her grandparents’ nearly 300-year old farm in Columbia County, Mary Ann relished being able to roam fields, and walk through woods and marshes observing nature. Before a trip to Ragged Edge Studio got her hooked on print-making, Mary Ann focused on pastels and making jewelry from silver precious metal clay. Her art and jewelry reflect her fascination with the textures, shapes, patterns and colors found in nature. She is a member of the Colonie Art League and the Schenectady Art Society.
