Fading Day to Night Sky donated by Sophia, 5th grade student and former 4th grade “Are You Smarter Than Our 4th graders? Ambassador.

After her recent trip to Myrtle Beach, she decided to make this ombre painting. Ombre is the French word for shaded; the painting method is the blending of one-color hue to another.  

At the beach the sky the sky fades dark to different shades of pinks and oranges as the sun goes down.  Sophia is looking forward to learn more about different types of painting at school.

She enjoyed her time as a 4th grader and wishes all participants, “good luck!”
