“Kelp Forest” needlefelting on felt mounted to wood.  Kelp and kelp forest health is integral to our Salish Sea ecosystems.  Kelp preservation and restoration is vital to not only the many marine species that depend on it to live, but also to us.  This underwater landscape portrayed in wool, a renewable material, is a reminder of kelp’s importance and our responsibility to protect it.
