Quintessential Nisqually Lot #31
Lanes is a military retiree who lives in Lakewood, WA near Fort Steilacoom Park. She regularly volunteers in the park as a habitat steward and also volunteers with the Tahoma Audubon Society. Lanes recently earned her MBA through Saint Martin’s University.
The tribal inspired art is because the Nisqually people have lived in the watershed for thousands of years. Salmon is a mainstay of their diet and the foundation of their culture as people of the river, people of the grass.
