Lifeblood Lot #34

34 lifeblood%20(2)

Salmon are culturally important to many of the Native American tribes of the Pacific Northwest. This fish represents the four species that have sustained the people of the Nisqually for generations: fall Chinook, fall Coho, winter steelhead, and winter chum. The fish is white, because the salmon runs are a ghost of its former self, but there are enough to allow for limited fishing. The Nisqually still has a pulse.

Michelle is a local artist who wanted to use traditional tribal colors for the Nisqually Tribe and make a simple design to show respect to the native culture.
