Full time Vallecito resident.
I started painting (self taught)when I turned 40, and haven’t stopped yet.

I paint in mixed media, all water soluble so I can create layer upon layer of color.

For me observing my environment is my muse. From the beauty of a rainbow trout, the many textures, movement and light in the sky.
The never ending shades of gray in nature. The geometry and scope  of mountains and last but least how I see everything all around me close up and personal.

Before moving to Colorado I lived and painted around the Knoxville TN , the beautiful Smokey Mountains.

I was in several local juried shows in the Knoxville area.

Now that La Plata County is my home, I never have to go far to find inspiration.
