"Buffalo Tracks in Snow" by: Supaya Gray Wolfe This headdress is made from Buffalo hide, handpainted turkey feathers, full round Buffalo horns, ermine skins, all hand sewn with sinew. Beadwork is an old design called Buffalo Tracks in Snow - All handbeaded with glass seed beads. The inside is Supaya Wolfe's own design, it was first used in 1971. Sides of red stripes are sewn with horse hair and hawk bells. There is a headpiece like this in the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming. Value: $4850.
