Mask has been integral to African culture long before the first century B.C. The wide variety of use for masks included rituals, creation, worship, fertility festivals, initiations, and entertainment. Proving their usage has been extensive for hundred of African tribes. Some colors have several meanings. Red range of symbolic meanings different cultures including life, health, war, and courage.
