Stefanie Jacobson Kirkland relocated to St. Louis, MO in 2005 from San Francisco, CA where she received her Masters in Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Academy of Art College. During her masters program, she studied in Corciano, Italy through American University under the tutelage of Barbara Rose.  She received her undergraduate degree in Surface Pattern Design and Art History from Syracuse University in New York.  Between her undergraduate and graduate programs, she was a professional textile designer in New York City and attended New York’s Arts Student League to continue studying art. Currently, Kirkland is the Director of Programming at the Sheldon.
