Emmy Lingscheit’s research explores our relationship with the non-human world. From the cellular level to the global economic scale, she examines their implications for the ecological and social challenges we collectively face.

Lingscheit has held artist residencies at the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Zygote Press, Ucross, and the Kohler Arts/Industry Program. Her work has been exhibited widely, including recently at Davidson Galleries, The Center for Contemporary Art and Culture, and The International Print Center in New York. Recent solo shows include exhibitions at Spudnik Press, The Lawrence Arts Center, The Indianapolis Art Center, and The John Michael Kohler Arts Center. She holds a BFA in painting from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and an MFA in printmaking from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Emmy is an Associate Professor at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the School of Art + Design, and the coordinator of the Studio Art concentration in Printmaking.
