This craft talk is designed to help poets of all levels learn how to select, organize and showcase polished poetry for future publication and performance on the page & stage. Participants will get a basic understanding of the following: the multiple uses of a poetry portfolio for the published/not-yet-published poet, how to organize a poetry portfolio to match your needs as a published/not-yet-published poet, how to select the poems that will go into your portfolio, how to update a portfolio, how to use your portfolio as a resource to get published, readings, fellowships, grants & more, how to showcase recorded poems & performances in the portfolio. 2 hours long. 1 project; 10 students in class.
