My printmaking work has always dwelled somewhere outside of traditional methods of plate development. It started with my graduate school thesis which revolved around figurative imagery arising from the manipulation of “planned” accidents in prints and drawings. My subjects were always very personal and related to “stream of consciousness” ideas concerning the human condition, especially my own. Later, ideas of flight, as a metaphorical subject, entered my work and remained a constant source of interest for over twenty-five years.
